JP Normand – RP-Q

Hello and welcome,

Opting to get help is a life-changing decision, and this is why I decided to work in the psychotherapy field. I want to help individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and trauma thrive through their difficulties. I also want to help expats experiencing additional stresses and pressures. My highest priority as a therapist is to create a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space where you can feel comfortable expressing yourself freely and help you work through your unresolved issues. I firmly believe that deep and lasting change is possible through therapy.

I am a bilingual (French/English) registered psychotherapist – qualifying and I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) degree. I bring a unique background and experience to help you in this process. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Policing Studies from Charles Sturt University in New South Wales, Australia and twenty years of law enforcement experience informing my psychotherapy practice.

My practical orientation is psychodynamically informed and integrative; I believe in your uniqueness and ability to become an expert of your Self. My practice is also inspired by other psychotherapy modalities, such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

Deciding to come to psychotherapy is one of the most important decisions you will ever make, and finding the right therapist is significant. I invite you to contact me through the form below to book a session or obtain more information.
